Fashion Turbans by Baby Steinberg

Comments Off on Fashion Turbans by Baby Steinberg

It’s been a while since I collaborated on a creative but I finally got a chance to do so by shooting some fashion turbans from designer Baby Steinberg. Aisha from Chacha Cosmetics contacted me and wanted to do a clean, almost beauty type shoot featuring these fashion turbans. I’ve worked with Aisha before and love her ideas, stylings and of course her fantastic make up artistry. As usual it was a great day and these two were my favs.

Thanks to models Sherry and Trace for toughing our the cold temp at the home studio and giving some good face!

Thanks to Chacha Cosmetics for the excellent hair and make up.

Thanks to Colette for her assistance and awesome reflector holding skills.

Thanks to Simone for only hissing twice at the guests.

Soundtrack for the shoot included Flume’s self titled album and the Verve Remix album, The First Ladies.

Congratulations to Phil & Charmaine

Great people and some serious good times shooting Phil & Charmaine’s intimate wedding reception at the cozy and hip restaurant, Quinta, in Toronto. This non traditional wedding saw everyone (ok almost everyone) wear any type of Converse All Stars running shoes to go with their formal wear and it was cool to see the variety. I think I took as many photos of shoes as I did of people’s faces…lol.

Congrats Phil & Charmaine!!!

Pet Shop Boys @ Sony Centre For The Performing Arts

Comments Off on Pet Shop Boys @ Sony Centre For The Performing Arts

Covered Pet Shop Boys at the Sony Centre of Performing Arts for Quip Magazine. I had never shot at this venue and with a note from the promoters that we would be shooting from the soundboard, I picked up a 300mm 2.8 just to make sure I would get the reach. Fifteen minutes before getting escorted to the soundboard area we were informed that we would not be shooting from the soundboard but from the side of the stage. From prime centre spot to a crap side angle and to make matters worse, I had forgotten my monopod. Anyway, I was able to hand hold the 300mm 2.8 and got the shots needed.

Thanks to Quip Magazine.
