Startup Fashion Week at HangLoose Media Studios
Startup Fashion Week is a new event in Toronto to provide startups in fashion design, fashion-tech and wearable-tech the appropriate skills, exposure, resource and valuable network opportunities. The three day event consists of conferences, workshops and of course runway showcases. I covered the runway showcase portion at HangLoose Media Studios with fantastic designs from Atelier Guarin, Klatt by Alanna Klatt, The Wild North, Maybe by Catalfo and Vanika. Overall it was a great event and I look forward to next year.
Thank you to the team at Startup Fashion Week and a special thanks to Jodi Goodfellow.

Fink at the Mod Club
Covered Fink at the Mod Club for Quip Magazine. I have all of his albums and have played them hundreds of times so I was super anxious to see him live. What a great show! There is fantastic lighting at the Mod Club but Fink had their set lit up with basically 100 lamps around the back and sides of the stage. Cool, I guess, to view and help with the mood of the music but so so for photos. The first photo is Douglas Dare who opened for Fink. Never heard of him before but totally dug his set. BTW, I’ve never had anyone say this to me while photographing but two different people said that my shutter was too loud and asked if I could stop shooting. Yup, a big F U to those peeps as I continued to shoot the obligatory first three songs.
Thanks to Quip Magazine.

Raise The Rhythm 2014 presents Utopia at the Danforth Music Hall
Raise The Rhythm held their annual show at the Danforth Music Hall. The usual mix of fashion, dance and music this year was to help raise funds and awareness for the Panov Program – Precision Chemotherapy for Sarcoma Cancer Research at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto. The show producers Dani Kagan, Jessica Domingo and Victoria Marshman always put on a fantastic show and this year they did not disappoint. Great venue (I shot a concert here not too long ago), I loved the theatre set up and lighting.
